A business proposal is a concise description of business objective issued by a business firm to interested stake holders to inform them about the nature of the business, the owners, the targets and the funding they wish to attain. Since it is drafted by one who intends to start a business to convey one’s business idea to prospective investors or customers, it is important that it is crafted professionally and nonerroneously. Hence, the need a business proposal template crops in which can be readily used every-time drafting a proposal. It is a document created beforehand in accordance with the correct format of a business proposal for the convenience of business firms. The following instructions may prove effective in documenting such a template:

A two-part outline for the proposal may be made: part one comprising of a detailed description of what the business entails, the second part containing financial details, including estimated tax payments, budget, and sample balance sheets

It should be brief. All sources used to demonstrate that the market, location, availability of product, hiring needs and related business details are well researched, must be cited.

The proposal template must also have provision for highlighting the experience, achievements and technological advantages of the company in a way that it convinces the investor to invest in this company instead of the others.

The target customers that the company will cater to must be defined. Launching and advertising plans must also be sketched.

The previous accomplishments of the management team must be mentioned to assert a sense of reliability and confidence. Their specific roles in the working of the company should be described in detail so that the intended audience could determine business efficiency.

Cash flow and revenue expectations for the first few years of the business must also be outlined. The amount of money the company is seeking, how it will be utilized and the estimated return expected from the project must have separate outline to be specified in detail.

A business process is an assortment of inter-related tasks that perform a specific goal, designed to add value for the customer (s). They are aimed at the satisfaction of the customers’ need and its outcome should increase effectiveness (value for the customer) and efficiency (less expense for the company). They can be decomposed into several sub-processes that not only have their own attributes but also contribute to achieving the goal of the super-process. There are three kinds of business processes:

Management processes – these processes govern the operation of a system. Typical management processes include “Corporate Governance” and “Strategic Management”.

Operational processes- these processes constitute the core business and create the primary value stream. Typical operational processes are Purchasing, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Sales.

Supporting processes- these processes are designed to support the core processes. Examples include Accounting, Recruitment and IT-support.

A business process template must cover the following:

Location: the Business Unit, Department or Region to which the process will apply is identified.

Process Name: It recognizes the official name/abbreviation for the process.

Parent Activity/Process: the parent business activity or process is identified, if applicable.

Description: The main purposes of the processes are described in brief.

Primary Product(s): the primary product(s) are defined and its utility explained.

Trigger(s): the event(s) such as dates, human tasks, or external processes that trigger the process are mentioned.

Sub processes: with the decomposition of the main process, each sub process is to be isolated and described precisely.

Standard Path Events/Activities: the activities and events that occur for the main process are illustrated.

Activities and events that occur in a specific sub process are identified.

The trajectories of alternate paths that break off from the standard path are highlighted.

Alternative Path Events/Activities: the activities or events that occur as part of the alternative path for this process are traced with absolute clarity.

The business PowerPoint template is created by using Microsoft PowerPoint software, during the presentations to be made for various reasons like explaining new plans and policies to the board of directors or for potential investors. The PowerPoint presentation is an effective tool through which a large amount of information can be compressed and presented in a precise manner with various appealing fonts, graphics and audio visual aids. The business PowerPoint template is created depending on the subject matter to be presented. There are different aspects to be covered while creating the business PowerPoint template:

The theme of the template should be in accordance with the plan to be presented. There should be selection made of the colors and graphic effects to be placed along with the company name and logo that needs to be situated at the beginning of the slide. Also, it must be noted that the company logo should be present in all the slides in the background of the slide and this can be done through subtle font effects.

The outline of the plan should be presented in a categorical manner with each aspect covered in a specific manner. This can be done through bullet points or other segregations.

The number of slides used should be arranged in a proper understandable fashion- there must be a beginning, middle and end. It is important to use large font size for this so that it can be easily understood by the viewers.

The audio visual aids to be used in the template should be compatible with the overall PowerPoint presentation. This should not overpower the basic subject matter of the presentation.

The PowerPoint presentation must end with due credits given to its creators. There should also be a note of thanks and gratitude expressed to the viewers of the presentation.

Businesses must periodically construct new plans and policies for the stable continuation and progress of their company. This requires a business plan template where proper documentation of the plans can be done. This template needs to cover various aspects of the company whether it is the current financial status or the predicted status to be achieved through the implementation of the new business plan. However, the lineation of such a template should also concentrate on the important facets of the plan as well. The business plan template must also be flexible for frequent customization and updates. Nevertheless, one should ensure that the following points are well-maintained, despite of any modifications.

The business plan template must have considerate provision made for briefing the overview of the entire document initially. This must not take up too much space as these lineaments should generally be framed concisely and specifically without being much effusive.

The company’s existing plans and policies needed to be mentioned as well. This template should create necessary divisions where in the name, nature and results achieved through these policies can also be elaborated. This helps the targeted audience to compare the implication of earlier plans with new ones.

The new plan to be implemented needs to be delineated next in the template. This section must have separate segregations made for covering various aspects of the plan and the required material needed for its implementation.

The business plan template, most importantly should provide section for specifying an exit strategy prerequisite so that there can be an alternate solution in case the original plan backfires.

Ensure to allot adequate provision for specifying the authorization of the document. This is because a business plan template requires acknowledgement of the authentic body in order to be counted as valid.

All businesses need to be in a constant state of communication and business memos are a formal and direct way of keeping internal management updated about various factors. It is important that the business memo template is formulated keeping in mind that a large number of people can only understand its simple, lucid yet formal construction. The template should make adequate provisions for necessary content to be inserted in it. The memo serves as a method through which employees are assigned tasks, feedback is received for certain projects and even details about conferences, meetings are informed. Thus, the business memo template should keep in mind the following points:

Since this is a prebuilt layout, there must be room for flexibility in the template and can cater to a wide range of purposes for which the memo is circulated.

The name, contact information of the company should be boldly printed at the top of the template. This should be done in a prominent and appealing manner.

There must be provision made for the proper address to be made at the right top corner of the memo. This can address to a specific employee or the department as a whole and hence adequate space must be provided.

The objective of the memo should be the next heading placed in a memo template. This is an essential section which should elaborate the purpose of the memo in a summative approach.

The main content of the business memo is essentially important and hence, the template must make provisions for this as well. There could be segregations made according to the different aspects of the subject matter which the addresser could fill in accordingly.

The ending of the memo must have ample space for the official seal or signature of the concern authorized person of the business.

The business letter template is very essential for communication within the business institution. The construction of such a template is essential and must be done professionally. There must be plenty of provisions made within the template to ensure that the required details can be easily filled in without any hassle. Another important thing is that the template must be flexible so that necessary changes can be inserted without making any large change to the overall format. Even, this kind of business letter should reflect business need by constant updating. Therefore, the business letter template should incorporate all the following factors in its lineation.

The first thing that the template must ensure is the company logo that needs to be placed at the top. It is essential that this is constructed with a clear and bold font. This can also include the contact information of the company, if necessary at its letter head.

The template must make provisions for providing date which the writer can fill in accordingly.

There should be adequate space provided where the addressee can be mentioned. There must be considerable space present for a large number or department to be addressed as well.

The business letter template must then provide room for the subject or purpose of the letter to be entered. This, too, will require some amount of space for varied subject matter.

The important portion of any business letter is the main content and hence sufficient space should be kept for it. Irrespective of the nature of business letter, one should ensure to provide ample provisions for this section.

Towards the end of the letter, the addresser must have adequate space for signing his or her name in order to acknowledge it. This is important and provision must be made for the signature of the addresser at the bottom right of the template.

In today’s world, a business letterhead constitutes a significant part of one’s corporate identity. It not only gives the company a strong sense of legitimacy but also sends out the message that their business is stable, reliable and progressive. Since the letterhead showcases a company’s business objective, it is highly important that much thought is invested in crafting their business letterhead template.

The following points may prove effective in guiding one to draft a clever business letterhead template:

It is important to keep in mind that the business letterhead is a representation of the company on paper and hence should be a reflection of all the values that the company upholds. Needless to say, it should have a very professional outlook.

The company logo should act as an easily recognizable image; one that may evolve to be synonymous to the name of the company. It should be created such that it expresses the objectives of the company best and should be placed carefully in a position that makes it as noticeable as possible.

The color used also plays an important role in conveying the intentions of the company to the world. While the conservatives often choose white to impart an impression of solidity and reliability, creative sectors are now trying to experiment by using brighter colors or even multicolor to express a bolder approach to business.

The letterhead must contain provision for detailing the contact information of the company which includes address, phone number, website, email address, fax.

Usage of fonts must also be done cleverly to express the psychological objectives of the firm.

As the letterhead reflects the vision of the company, the template should be documented with absolute precision.

Overall, the letterhead should be visually appealing such that it compels others to take the company seriously.
